Fellowship Opportunities for Graduate Students: Apply by March 15, 2025
The Mercatus Center Academic & Student Programs is pleased to announce competitive fellowship opportunities for graduate students seeking funding, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of political economy. These fellowships are available to PhD, master’s, and JD students across disciplines.
Fellowship Opportunities for PhD Students:
1. Adam Smith Fellowship: Up to $10,000 to explore the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy through in-person colloquia.
2. Elinor Ostrom Fellowship: Up to $7,000 for PhD students interested in governance, institutions, and self-governance research.
3. Oskar Morgenstern Fellowship: Up to $7,000 for PhD students using quantitative and empirical methods in political economy research.
4. Carl Menger Fellowship: Up to $2,250 for PhD students interested in Austrian economics and market process theory (fully online).
Fellowship Opportunities for Master’s, JD, and PhD Students in Related Fields:
1. Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship: Up to $5,000 for students studying law, political science, public policy, or economics with a focus on political economy and public policy.
2. Ronald Coase Fellowship: Up to $2,000 for law, political science, history, and public policy students, focused on institutional analysis (fully online).
