Empowering African Youth: The GreenLead African Climate Leaders Fellowship (ACLF)
The GreenLead African Climate Leaders Fellowship (ACLF) is a free sustainability and climate capacity-building program designed for young Africans aged 18-35. This program equips participants with the knowledge and skills to drive impactful climate action and sustainability initiatives at the community level.
ACLF connects African youth to address climate challenges through:
• Education: Covering topics from climate science to climate justice.
• Internships: Gaining practical experience in the field.
• Community Projects: Implementing sustainable solutions.
ACLF covers Climate Science and Impacts, Climate-Smart Sustainable Agricultural Practices, Blue Economy, Solar Technologies Adoption, Clean Cooking Fuels, Circular Economy, Climate and Energy Policy and Governance, Climate Advocacy and Communication, Climate Justice, Community Engagement, Project Management, and Green Upskilling.
The inaugural cohort received significant interest, highlighting the need for youth-focused capacity building programs.
