Job Title: Cash for Food Assistance (CFF) Assistant

Job Overview:
The CFF Assistant will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of cash-for-food assistance activities targeting vulnerable communities and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Isa LGA, Sokoto. The role involves close collaboration with community stakeholders, vendors, and COOPI’s technical team to ensure transparency, effectiveness, and accountability in the delivery of food assistance through digital cash transfer mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the targeting, registration, and distribution of cash assistance to eligible beneficiaries.
- Mobilize and sensitize community members on project objectives and entitlements.
- Monitor vendor redemption processes and ensure timely resolution of issues during cash transfers.
- Assist in the conduct of Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and Market Price Monitoring (MPM) to assess effectiveness and market dynamics.
- Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries and ensure compliance with accountability and data protection standards.
- Supervise community mobilizers, volunteers, and daily workers involved in the project.
- Support the creation of a transparent referral mechanism for new or excluded cases.
- Regularly provide field reports and updates to the CFF Sector Lead and other supervisors.
- Foster strong collaboration with local leaders, community-based organizations, and humanitarian partners.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Nutrition, Economics, Development Studies, or any related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of field experience in food security or livelihood programs, preferably in humanitarian contexts.
- Strong knowledge of cash transfer programming (CTP) and community-based targeting mechanisms.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office tools effectively, particularly Excel and Word.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Hausa or other local languages is an asset.
- Must be resident in Isa LGA or willing to relocate to the area.
