Position Summary

COOPI is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Field Enumerators / Data Collectors to support ongoing emergency response activities in Sokoto State. The role involves direct community engagement to collect both qualitative and quantitative data crucial for monitoring and evaluation. Candidates must be committed to upholding ethical standards, confidentiality, and the humanitarian principles guiding our work.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct community assessments and beneficiary registrations.
• Accurately collect and document data using paper-based or digital tools.
• Translate and explain survey questions clearly to respondents.
• Ensure all assigned tools (questionnaires, guides, devices) are completed and returned in good condition.
• Transcribe data from focus group discussions and in-depth interviews where necessary.
• Collaborate with program teams to capture relevant project data.
• Participate in both individual and team debriefing sessions to reflect on field experiences.
• Submit comprehensive activity reports in line with COOPI’s reporting standards.
• Uphold data protection protocols and respect respondent confidentiality.
• Foster collaboration with community members, stakeholders, and partners during data collection exercises.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the MEAL Officer or relevant supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum of a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with a Diploma or 1 year with a Degree.
• Prior experience with humanitarian organizations (NGOs/INGOs) is essential.
• Experience in data collection, surveys, or statistical analysis is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with mobile data collection tools is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, Hausa, Fulani, and/or other local languages relevant to the area.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Ability to work effectively in remote or high-pressure settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is an added advantage.
• Capacity to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
