Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) is a woman- led organization born out of passion for the wellbeing of Women and Children in Nigeria. It has a special interest in mitigating the suffering of the vulnerable persons (mostly Women & Children) in times of crisis. Currently the organization has focused its attention on the Northeast of Nigeria with special emphasis in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states (the BAY states) due to the decade old crises. COWACDI intervenes through community-based approach in addressing Gender-Based Violence prevention and response programmes, child protection, peace-building programmes and empowerment of youth and women. Since its establishment in 2005, humanitarian and developmental interventions have been implemented in Protection, Peace Building, Housing Land & Property (HLP), Non-food Items (NFI), Livelihood. COWACDI operates with full respect for humanitarian law and works with concrete policies and principles of international standard such as humanity, do no harm, impartiality, neutrality and independence and accountability to affected population and Zero Tolerance to Fraud and related activities. As part of our efforts to address the persistent gender-based violence and inequality in Borno State, we are implementing a project aimed at promoting gender awareness and sensitization among community members.
Contractual Arrangement: External Facilitator
Contract Duration: 1 month
Job Description:
The facilitator will design a comprehensive facilitation plan and agenda for the skills acquisition, including interactive sessions during the training, group discussions, and presentations.
Prepare a training document, PowerPoint presentations for effective training of participants and apply the intended outcome of the training.
Deliver the training program for participants as per the plan scheduled in close consultation with COWACDI Program Staff. The training will be conducted in Bama LGA, Borno State
Conduct pre-training and post-training evaluations of the training and include the results in the main report.
Prepare training materials including developing a methodological note that outlines the overall training process review and adapts training materials in coordination with the COWACDI Program Team. Prepare presentations and documents for all sessions.
Provide all the necessary tools and materials to enable participants to undertake training.
Prepare and submit activity report for the session conducted at the end of the training regarding the delivery of the training programme.

Prepare and submit a detailed activity report with good picture evidence, impact result outcome and lesson learn.
Desirable Skills/Quality:
Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge of local dialect is an added advantage i.e. (Kanuri and Hausa)
Extent and relevance of experience in working in humanitarian context in the field of skills acquisition.
Excellent computer skills, communication, writing and presentation.
Proven experience leading and facilitating strategic planning sessions for skill acquisition training. Proficiency in MS Office
Aptitude in creative problem-solving
Ability to identify key business drivers and trends and develop strategies to address them Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple participants. Certified strong business analytical and critical thinking abilities is a plus.
