About the role
The Community and Youth Engagement Officer (State Coordinator) is a pivotal part of the Christian Aid Nigeria Programme, providing necessary management and coordination of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship-Led Poultry Transformation Program (SEPTP) a Mastercard Foundation Funded Programme for Young Persons in Nigeria project at the state level. The role holder will collaboratively work with the Senior Specialist Livestock to operationalize CA Nigeria’s youth engagement strategy at the state level. The state coordinator is responsible for the management and delivery of the project at the state level, coordination of the state project team, and representing the project at an institutional level, with the state Government and with other key stakeholders. The role holder will collaborate with the country team, consortium members, sub-partners, and project participants to implement innovatively and ensure that this is in line with Christian Aid’s country strategy.
Locations: Abuja, Kano, Adamawa, Delta, Plateau
About you
The role holder must have a first-degree qualification in agriculture, project management, social science, development, or other relevant, a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant proven experience in project management and implementation with a strong understanding of youth development, and strong analytical skill sets, proven leadership experience in motivating and leading teams and solving, experience in planning, developing and managing donor-funded programmes, as well as cognate familiarity of complex project designs, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as livestock management systems, familiarity with State/Context.
