Do you have a passion for environmental and climate action? Are you interested in strengthening the voice of youth in shaping environmental governance?

In this selection round, we are choosing at least one focal point for each of the portfolios listed.

Regional Focal Points (RFP):
Africa
Europe
West Asia
North America
Thematic Focal Points (TFP):
Children Affairs (age limit: under 18)
Eco-Faith
Ozone and Climate Protection
Green Economy and Resources
Science-Policy
Policy Coordination
The mandate is for a period of one (1) year, starting upon your selection on or before February 1st, 2025. These are all voluntary positions, with no financial benefit associated.

We are looking for Regional Focal Points and Thematic Focal Points to join the CYMG Steering Committee and overlook regional and thematic portfolios, and for a Social Media Lead

The Children and Youth Major Group to the UN Environment Programme (CYMG) is a globally recognized umbrella mechanism representing youth networks, organizations and individuals dedicated to addressing the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.

As the formal youth engagement mechanism to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), CYMG plays a vital role in advocating for the inclusion, empowerment, and meaningful participation of young people in global environmental governance and the environmental dimension of sustainable development agenda.
