CALL FOR ENUMERATORS: REF 2025 Index Study in Ghana
The Regional Entrepreneurship Freedom (REF) Index is an esteemed annual research initiative that provides a comprehensive assessment of entrepreneurial freedom across Ghana’s diverse regions. As we prepare for the release of the 2025 edition, we are excited to announce the reopening of the call for qualified Enumerators to join our dedicated research team. This initiative aims to evaluate the entrepreneurial environment within each of Ghana’s 16 regions, identify key barriers, and offer actionable recommendations to foster a more conducive atmosphere for entrepreneurial growth.
About the REF Index 2025
The REF Index is a rigorous in-country study that utilizes a set of carefully crafted indices to measure various factors inhibiting or promoting entrepreneurial activities. The insights generated from this research will serve as a crucial resource for policymakers, development partners, and entrepreneurs, guiding efforts to improve the entrepreneurial climate across Ghana. Your participation as an Enumerator will directly contribute to shaping policies and strategies that promote sustainable economic development and youth empowerment.
Position: Enumerator
Key Responsibilities:
– Conducting field surveys and interviews within designated regions
– Collecting accurate and reliable data in accordance with standardized protocols
– Engaging with local community members and stakeholders to facilitate data collection
– Ensuring timely completion of data collection activities
– Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of all information gathered
Eligibility Criteria:
– Residing in the capital city of the region assigned for data collection
– Availability to work full-time from mid-June through July 2025
– Possession of reliable transportation means to reach various survey locations
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team
– Fluency in at least one local dialect spoken within the assigned region
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Prior experience in data collection, research, or related fields will be an advantage but is not mandatory
