Iconic Open University is expanding its digital media team and invites qualified individuals to apply for the following positions:
1. Digital Newspaper Manager
Location: Kano
Responsibilities:
Manage the university’s digital newspaper.
Curate, edit, and publish engaging content (news, features, interviews).
Manage a team of writers, reporters, and contributors.
Ensure timely updates and adherence to editorial standards.
Monitor readership analytics and optimize content strategy.
Requirements:
Expert in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
Proven experience in digital publishing or editorial management.
Strong writing, editing, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in CMS (e.g., WordPress) and SEO best practices.
2. Digital Media Reporters
Locations: Abuja, Kano, Lagos
Responsibilities:
Research, write, and report activities.
Conduct interviews.
Generate multimedia content (articles, videos, infographics).
Collaborate with the editorial team to meet publication deadlines.
Requirements:
Background in Journalism, English, or Communications (students/recent graduates encouraged).
Strong writing skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with basic photography/videography is a plus.
3. Social Media Creators
Locations: Sokoto, Kano
Responsibilities:
Develop creative content (graphics, reels, stories).
Implement trending strategies to boost engagement and brand awareness.
Schedule and monitor posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn).
Engage with followers and analyze performance metrics.
Requirements:
Creativity and proficiency in design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut).
Strong understanding of social media algorithms and trends.
Portfolio of previous work (e.g., content pages, campaigns).
