CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: 6th Kano Social Influencers Summit (KANSIS25)
The Kano Social Influencers Summit (KANSIS) is an annual event organized by the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD). The summit features keynote presentations and panel sessions where experts discuss and debate topical issues that relate to societal development.
This year’s summit, the sixth in the series, will focus on the theme: “Toward a More Inclusive Governance of AI.”
Sub-Themes:
1. Empowering Civic Participation and E-Governance Through Inclusive AI
2. Building Trustworthy AI: Countering Deepfakes, Synthetic Media, and Political Manipulation
3. AI and Data Protection
4. AI and Human Rights
5. Digital Literacy in the Era of AI
6. Digital Inclusion as a Requirement for Inclusive Governance of AI
7. Framework for inclusive decision making in the deployment of AI systems
8. Role of Stakeholders in the Governace of AI Systems
9. Ethical and Legal Considerations in Deploying AI
Like the previous summits (KANSIS 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024), this year’s event will bring together academia, researchers, technology experts, professionals, development partners, artists, filmmakers, and other social influencers.

This year’s summit provides a platform to learn from distinguished experts who will share their invaluable experiences in the effective use of AI.
