STAFF VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL)
The National Mathematical Centre (NMC) in Abuja invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill various academic and non-academic staff positions.
Location: KM 34, Lokoja – Abuja Expressway, Sheda-Kwaki, Gwagwalada, Abuja – Nigeria.
1.0 ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS
1.1 Assistant Research Fellow (CONUASS 03)
• Specialties: Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science.
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess Master’s Degrees in relevant fields. They must show evidence of NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificates.
1.2 Librarian I (CONUASS 03)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Library & Information Studies or other related fields plus three (3) years cognate experience. He/she must also possess a professional membership certificate.
1.3 Librarian II (CONUASS 02)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess Master’s Degrees in Library & Information Studies or other related fields. He/she must also possess NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
2.0 NON-ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS
2.1 Accountant II (CONTISS 07)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Accountancy from a recognized institution or its equivalent with three (3) years cognate working experience. Must possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificates.
2.2 Procurement Officer II (CONTISS 07)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Architecture, Engineering, Sciences, Accounting, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
2.3 Information Officer II (CONTISS 07)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Mass Communication, Humanities, Social Sciences or relevant discipline from a recognized institution. Must possess NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
2.4 Protocol Officer II (CONTISS 07)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Humanities, Social Sciences or relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
2.5 Health Officer II (CONTISS 07)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must be legally qualified to practice as a Nurse/Midwife and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
2.6 System Programmer I (CONTISS 08)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Computer Science or a relevant IT-related field from a recognized institution, plus three (3) years cognate experience or possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field. Must also possess NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
2.7 Quantity Surveyor II (CONTISS 07)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Quantity Surveying, registrable with the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN).
2.8 Driver Mechanic (CONTISS 02)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with a relevant Class ‘E’ National Driver’s License and Trade Test III. Plus a minimum of two (2) years satisfactory service on that grade.
2.9 Engineer I (Electrical) (CONTISS 08)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Electrical Engineering (or relevant fields like Civil/Mechanical/Agricultural/Environmental), an NSE graduateship, and be registerable with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
2.10 Administrative Officer II (CONTISS 07)
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a good honours degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in any of the Mathematical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, or Management.
