Grow Strong Foundation (GSF) is a child-focused, women and youth-led non-profit organization established in 2017. GSF is providing humanitarian assistance to Children, IDPs, and other highly vulnerable individuals in collaboration with NHF, UNICEF, and Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Northeastern Nigeria. As part of our commitment to achieving the objectives of our strategic plan, GSF is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the vacant position.
Location : GSF HQ, Oversee field offices in the Borno State
Reporting: Program Manager
Purpose: The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating field-level implementation of project activities, ensuring community participation, quality delivery, and protection mainstreaming. The successful candidate will lead planning and execution of Child Protection (CP), Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), and nutrition activities at community level.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution
1. Lead planning and execution of CP, SGBV, and nutrition activities at community level.
2. Develop and implement project work plans, ensuring timely and effective delivery of project outputs.
Field Staff Supervision
1. Supervise field staff, ensuring quality case management and psychosocial support services.
2. Provide guidance and support to field staff.
Community Engagement
1. Engage community leaders, local authorities, and stakeholders for coordinated response.
2. Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations and networks.
Referral Pathways and Protection Mechanisms
1. Strengthen referral pathways and community-based protection mechanisms.
2. Ensure effective response to CP and SGBV cases.
Nutrition Activities
1. Implement nutrition interventions, including infant and young child feeding (IYCF) counseling and support.
2. Collaborate with health workers to provide nutrition services.
Monitoring and Reporting
1. Monitor activity implementation and report on progress and challenges.
2. Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education
1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nutrition, or related field.
Experience
1. 3–5 years’ experience in field coordination, CP, SGBV, or nutrition projects.
2. Experience in managing community-based projects.
Skills
1. Strong community engagement and reporting skills.
