Organization Overview:

Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria. FRAD has actively responded to emergencies arising from the crisis in Northeast Nigeria and continues to address emerging development needs through a holistic, triple nexus approach. Our focus includes Health/Nutrition, Protection, WASH/Environment, and Peacebuilding—especially for women, girls, adolescents, youths, and persons living with disabilities.

We implement cross-sectoral interventions to support vulnerable populations affected by humanitarian, development, and economic crises. As part of our 2024–2027 Strategic Plan, we are expanding our programs and seeking qualified professionals to join our team.

Position: Project Coordinator (WASH/Nutrition/Protection)

Job Type: Contract

Location: Roving (Borno, Adamawa, Yobe States)

Qualification: B.Sc. in Public Health, Nursing, or related fields

Experience: Minimum 5 years in NGO settings, including 3 years in community-based WASH/Nutrition project management

Job Field: Programs

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Programme Management & Delivery

• Develop detailed work plans and update implementation tracking systems.

• Oversee procurement planning and ensure timely delivery.

• Lead monthly planning and progress review meetings.

• Provide monthly project updates and escalate concerns as needed.

• Manage all project activities, resources, and assets.

• Identify implementation challenges and act swiftly to address them.

• Ensure collaboration with State/LGA offices and sustainability planning.

• Lead project budget revisions and liaise with awards and finance teams.

• Prepare timely narrative and financial reports for FRAD and donors.

• Create communication strategies to increase community demand for services.

• Document project learning and results through briefs and reports.

• Integrate phase-out and project close-out strategies early in implementation.

2. Budget Management

• Prepare forecasts and conduct variance and budget analyses.

• Track expenditure to ensure funds are used efficiently and for their intended purposes.

• Coordinate with Finance and Compliance to ensure proper burn rate tracking and financial compliance.

• Review and submit timely financial and narrative donor reports.

3. Staff Management

• Set performance objectives and development plans for staff.

• Facilitate communication and reporting structures.

• Clarify individual responsibilities aligned with overall project goals.

• Organize review meetings to assess progress and solve challenges.

• Conduct timely performance appraisals and feedback sessions.

4. Capacity Building

• Identify support needs and build capacity of the project team.

• Facilitate training and mentorship for effective WASH and nutrition interventions.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Assurance

• Work with the MEAL team to conduct baseline, end-line, and LQAS assessments.

• Design and implement results-based M&E systems.

• Document lessons learned and best practices for adaptive management.

• Lead joint supportive supervision visits with stakeholders and government.

• Conduct needs assessments and communicate findings to stakeholders.

6. Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement

• Promote collaboration with government and community organizations.

• Represent FRAD in zonal/ward-level meetings and provide feedback to management.

• Lead advocacy efforts to secure political support and resource allocation.

7. Representation

• Participate in health, protection, and nutrition sector coordination meetings.

• Represent FRAD in technical working groups and other platforms.

8. Accountability

• Take full responsibility for decision-making, efficient resource use, and outcomes.

• Hold team and partners accountable for performance and compliance with FRAD values.

Required Experience and Technical Competencies:

• BSc in Public Health, Nursing, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of NGO experience, 3 of which must be in community WASH/Nutrition project management.

• Training certifications in IYCF, CMAM, IIP, IMNCI, ICMNCI, and Immunization MLM are an asset.

• Experience engaging with Ministry of Health at national/sub-national levels.

• Strong cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse teams.

• Budget management skills and donor compliance knowledge.

• Proficiency in local languages is an advantage.

• Strong commitment to FRAD values and ethical standards.
