Position Description
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) seeks a Data Analysis Intern to work under the supervision of the Foresight and Development Results Adviser at UNFPA Headquarters, New York.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research on global trends, progress, and gaps in sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Analyze 2024 development results achieved by UNFPA and its partners aligned with Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
Update the Integrated Results and Resources Framework regarding 2024 progress.
Perform quality assurance reviews of Annual Report data, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Prepare initial drafts of key Annual Report sections.
Collaborate actively with team members, contributing ideas and input for the Annual Report.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data/statistics or related field, obtained or in progress within the past 12 months.
Experience in data analysis, visualization, or monitoring and evaluation is valued.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Strong communication and writing skills.
Excellent organizational and detail-oriented abilities.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working in multicultural, decentralized teams.

Financial Aspects
Internships are unpaid; costs are the responsibility of the participant or their sponsoring institution.
A stipend may be provided to cover basic expenses if not supported otherwise.
Interns are required to have medical insurance coverage for the internship duration. Proof must be submitted before the start date.
