About The Program
The Katsina State Government, in collaboration with Wema Bank has launched the Katsina-Wema Capacity Development Programme. This initiative aims to train 500,000 residents of Katsina over the project’s lifespan, with a bold target of reaching 150,000 beneficiaries in 2025, 250,000 in 2026 and 100,000 in 2027.
This program is a catalytic intervention to provide financial literacy, digital skills, and sector-relevant competencies to strategically selected clusters. By building the capacity of these groups, the program will help unlock inclusive economic growth, enhance service delivery, and empower Katsina’s human capital for the future.
Goals and Objectives
To empower 500,000 residents and indigenes of Katsina State by 2027 with transformative digital
and financial skills, tailored to their professional and social contexts, to accelerate development,
innovation, and economic inclusion across the state.
