About the Internship role
We are recruiting for a research Intern who is passionate about impact-driven work in the development space and willing to contribute to meaningful research work across Africa. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to assist in planning and implementing research projects.
A typical week in the life of the Research Intern entails the following:
Assist in conducting thorough research on various topics, industries, and market trends to support project objectives.
Assist in developing proposals for projects by gathering and organizing relevant information.
Supporting project implementation by collaborating with project team members.
Actively contribute to writing reports, monthly newsletter focused on our service lines and practice areas, feasibility studies, and market assessments with comprehensive research insights and analysis.
Engaging with policy makers, private sector leaders, entrepreneurs and various stakeholders across our beloved continent on diverse projects
Bantering with colleagues over silly memes shared on the work group chat.
Skills Required
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of MS Excel and Google Spreadsheets, MS Word and PowerPoint
Prior experience in research, consulting and/or international development is a plus
Good understanding of the development sector with a strong flair for writing research reports, policy briefs and articulating complex concepts and thoughts effectively.
Good working knowledge of English and French is a plus.
This is an entry-level position and the ideal interns are those with less than 3 years of work experience.
Work Hours: 40 hours weekly. Strong preference for candidates based in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, and Francophone African countries
Internship Duration: 3-6 months with possibility of conversion to a full time position.
