We are opening a new call for projects under the Civic Innovation Fund (CIF).
Civic education is facing pressing questions – how to rebuild trust, strengthen democratic resilience, and respond to loneliness, radicalisation and polarisation. With this call, we seek ideas that do not just raise these issues but test concrete approaches that can make a difference in practice.
Selected projects will receive up to €10,000 to pilot, incubate or scale their work over a 12-month period. Proposals should address at least one of the following areas:
The concept of trust in civic education (linked to all NECE formats in 2026, including the NECE Festival)
Democratic resilience
Loneliness and radicalisation of young people
Polarisation or peace-building with polarised groups
Applications are open until 20 October, 11:59 pm CEST.
