Children and young people are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. This is because they have limited capacities to cope and do not have the power to make decisions. They will also suffer from extreme climate impacts in the course of their lifetimes. This training is being organized by the Centre for Green Growth emanating from the Global Centre for Adaptation and Care International “Toolkit for Youth on Adaptation & Leadership”.
The aim is to equip the youth with the right set of skills and knowledge to engage in climate adaptation action, policy and advocacy while paying particular attention to the needs of vulnerable groups in society.
The training will cover the various spheres of climate adaptation and the opportunities to bring out solutions to adapt local communities and vulnerable groups.
The in-person training will be held in Accra, Ghana in February 2025. Slots are available for only 30 participants. The participant with the best mini adaptation project idea will receive seed funding of $500 to implement the mini project idea.
The deadline for the application is January 29, 2025 at 11:59pm GMT.
