Position Title: Talent Management Officer
Location: Kaduna, Jigawa, Kebbi
Position Summary: They will be responsible for establishing a strong presence in their assigned state to implement youth development initiative, with particular focus on employer engagement, participant placement, and monitoring of professional development journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead outreach initiatives to identify and cultivate relationships with diverse private and public sector organizations across key economic sectors, with strategic focus on highgrowth industries including technology innovation, creative economy, agricultural value chains, and financial services, while ensuring balanced representation across emerging and traditional sectors.
- Conduct thorough physical verification processes to validate the legal standing, operational capacity, and physical infrastructure of potential partner organizations through on-site visits, document review, and stakeholder interviews, ensuring compliance with established quality standards for organizational suitability and capability.
- Maintain a comprehensive and current registry of verified partner organizations through review protocols, implementing regular data quality checks, updating organizational profiles, and tracking partnership development metrics to ensure the database remains relevant and actionable for program implementation.
- Design and implement state-level recruitment strategies to attract qualified participants, including developing targeted outreach channels across educational institutions and professional networks..
- Facilitate the pairing of qualified candidates with appropriate partner organizations based on skills alignment, organizational needs, career development potential, and geographic considerations.
- Deploy and administer performance tracking framework to monitor participant progress, organizational engagement, and program outcomes throughout the full duration of the professional development engagement, including setting individual development plans and tracking key milestones.
- Conduct regular structured engagement sessions with both participants and partner organizations to track development progress, address emerging challenges, and manage concerns that ensures timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement of the partnership experience.
- Organize and lead structured group development sessions focused on professional growth, implementing learning pathways through a digital platform that supports continuous skill development, career advancement, and the cultivation of leadership competencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in talent management, human resources, or youth development programs
- Demonstrated experience in employer engagement and workforce development
- Strong understanding of the Northwest region’s economic landscape and key sectors
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in digital tools for monitoring and reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt strategies in response to changing circumstances.
- Fluent in English and Hausa, with proficiency in local languages considered a strong asset.
