The Women in Business Forum (WiBFo) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting businesswomen in Nigeria. As a member-based networking business alliance, WiBFo works with diverse stakeholders to create an enabling business environment for women-led enterprises and cooperatives, particularly in the agriculture sector.
WiBFo serves as a State Apex Organization, providing financial services to underserved and unserved populations. Additionally, it acts as an aggregator, facilitating market linkages for small-scale food entrepreneurs and smallholder farmers (SHFs). Through its initiatives, WiBFo empowers women entrepreneurs, strengthens cooperative structures, and promotes inclusive growth in agri-food systems.

Project Overview
The RISE Project seeks to empower women and youth by creating 8,000 decent and sustainable jobs in Nigeria’s agri-food sector. The project promotes resilience, inclusivity, and economic empowerment through cooperative development, capacity building, and market-driven approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with field officers and state government agencies to ensure effective project delivery.
- Ensure project compliance with all relevant government policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Facilitate the process of obtaining permits, approvals, and documentation required for project implementation.
- Coordinate with Agricultural Development Programs (ADPs) and extension services for activity integration.
- Organize regular coordination meetings with government stakeholders and development partners.
- Manage state-level administrative functions including office operations, logistics, and HR support.
- Facilitate government participation in project events, trainings, and evaluation activities.
- Provide regular updates and briefings to government officials on project progress and achievements.
- Support policy dialogue and advocacy initiatives related to agri-food systems development.
- Ensure transparent and effective communication channels between the project team and government counterparts.
- Apply MEDA values in all activities-culturally sensitivity, transparency and integrity in all relationship.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
- Proven experience in leading teams, managing projects, and coordinating multiple activities.
- Fluency in English and Hausa (oral and written).
- Knowledge of the local language of the assigned state is a valuable asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
