Locations: Maiduguri, Borno and Michika, Adamawa

Description
- Bincike International is looking for a dedicated Security and Office Support staff to be based in Maiduguri, Borno State and Michika, Adamawa State.
- This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of all staff, assets, and operations in a complex and high-risk environment and also ensure cleanliness of the office environ.
- The successful candidates will provide direct support to staff in Maiduguri, Borno Metropolitan Council (MMC), and Michika LGA of Adamawa State and will collaborate with the Safety and Security Officer in Adamawa State to ensure a unified and effective security posture and orderliness across both states.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all office surfaces, including desks, countertops, and equipment.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Monitoring and patrolling the premises to prevent and detect security breaches.
- Responding to alarms and calls for assistance.
- Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop floors.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Controlling access to the premises by checking identification and verifying
- Observing and reporting any suspicious activities or incidents
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining supply closets and storage areas.
- Enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Assisting in emergency situations such as fires, medical emergencies, or evacuations.
- Providing a visible presence to deter criminal activity.
- Notify management of any repairs or maintenance needed.

- Conduct security checks of equipment, doors, and windows to ensure they are secure.
- Collaborating with law enforcement agencies if necessary.
- Keeping detailed logs and reports of their activities and any incidents that occur.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Management course, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably with a non-governmental organisation (NGO) or in a humanitarian context.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of security protocols and risk assessment in conflict-affected areas and Knowledge of the local context and security dynamics and housekeeping in Borno State/Adamawa is essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills. The ability to remain calm and effective in a crisis. Fluency in English and a local language (e.g., Hausa, Kanuri) is required.
