The Women in Business Forum (WiBFo) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting businesswomen in Nigeria. As a member-based networking business alliance, WiBFo works with diverse stakeholders to create an enabling business environment for women-led enterprises and cooperatives, particularly in the agriculture sector.
WiBFo serves as a State Apex Organization, providing financial services to underserved and unserved populations. Additionally, it acts as an aggregator, facilitating market linkages for small-scale food entrepreneurs and smallholder farmers (SHFs). Through its initiatives, WiBFo empowers women entrepreneurs, strengthens cooperative structures, and promotes inclusive growth in agri-food systems.

Project Overview
The RISE Project seeks to empower women and youth by creating 8,000 decent and sustainable jobs in Nigeria’s agri-food sector. The project promotes resilience, inclusivity, and economic empowerment through cooperative development, capacity building, and market-driven approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement project activities directly with women and youth beneficiaries in assigned LGAs. ï‚· Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Conduct community mobilization and awareness campaigns on agri-food opportunities.
- Facilitate training workshops on agricultural techniques, business skills, and cooperative formation.
- Support beneficiary selection processes and maintain accurate beneficiary databases.
- Monitor field activities and submit regular progress reports to the project management team.
- Build strong relationships with traditional rulers, community leaders, and local organizations.
- Identify and resolve project implementation challenges at community level.
- Coordinate with local government officials and agricultural extension agents to integrate project activities.
- Apply MEDA values in all activities-culturally sensitivity, transparency and integrity in all relationship.
- Collect field data, testimonials, and success stories for M&E and communications purposes.
- Provide technical assistance and mentoring support to project beneficiaries.
Requirements
- Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) in Agriculture, Social Sciences, Community Development, or related field.
- Fluency in English and Hausa (oral and written).
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with sound judgment.
- Willingness to work across different LGAs and adapt to varying field conditions.
- Strong relationship-building, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
