Job Overview
The Assistant Field Manager will support a program that uses cash transfers to motivate mothers to complete their infants’ immunization schedules. The program operates in partnership with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board in North West (NW) and North East (NE) Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
– Support and ensure high-quality implementation of the program at selected clinics.
– Provide leadership and supervision to Field Officers at clinics across operational states.
– Facilitate cash transfer disbursements to increase immunization coverage and retention.
– Build and nurture relationships with clinic staff, employees, and stakeholders.
– Oversee smooth operational flow at public clinics, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.

– Full-time position.
– Supervises Field Officers across clinics in various states.
– Candidates should reside in or have access to accommodation in one of the towns or LGAs of operation.
Context
Despite significant progress in expanding vaccination services in Nigeria over the past decade, demand for vaccines remains relatively low.
New Incentives encourages caregivers to fully vaccinate their infants through conditional cash transfers, helping cover transportation costs and compensate for income loss. This initiative aims to improve immunization rates and protect children from deadly diseases.
Required Qualifications
– Fluency in local languages/dialects spoken in all operational states, especially Hausa. Please specify languages and proficiency levels in your cover letter.
– Minimum of ND (National Diploma), preferably in health or natural sciences.
– Willingness to work at remote clinics and field locations at least 4 days per week.
– Experience with the Nigerian health system and clinic documentation related to infant health and vaccinations.
– Desirable: experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting health data.
– Attention to financial management and fund handling.
– Detail-oriented, diligent, result-driven, loyal, and hardworking.
– Passionate about helping others and reducing infant mortality.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hausa.
– Responsive to emails and phone requests.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet browsers, smartphones, and communication technologies.
– Motivated to work in a dynamic, lean organization that adapts based on stakeholder feedback.
– Demonstrates strong managerial and leadership skills.
