The Africa Macroeconomic Analysts Program (AMAP) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for its prestigious 2025 cohort. This flagship capacity-building program is designed to empower the next generation of African economic thinkers and equip them with the advanced skills needed to shape economic policy across the continent.

What is AMAP?

AMAP is a rigorous and immersive program that provides participants with the tools to analyze, interpret, and effectively respond to the complex economic challenges facing their countries and the African continent as a whole. Through a combination of rigorous training, hands-on research projects, mentorship from leading experts, and real-world policy engagement, AMAP empowers participants to become impactful economic leaders.

Program Objectives:

•  Build robust macroeconomic analytical capacity.

•  Provide practical exposure through impactful research projects.

•  Strengthen policy analysis and economic forecasting skills.

•  Facilitate valuable career mentorship and networking opportunities.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for AMAP, applicants must:

•  Be citizens of Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Rwanda, Kenya, Zambia, or South Africa.

•  Be in their final year of undergraduate studies or be recent graduates in Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or related Social Science fields.

•  Possess a First-Class or Second-Class Upper (2:1) degree. Exceptional candidates with a Second-Class Lower (2:2) degree may also be considered.
