Adinkra Fellowship: Empowering Rising African and Diaspora Leaders (2026 Cohort)
Applications are now open for the Adinkra Fellowship, a transformative leadership experience designed for exceptional individuals aged 40 and under from across Africa and the African Diaspora. This fellowship brings together a diverse group of changemakers – from activists and entrepreneurs to artists and public servants – to build bridges, inspire transformative change, and strengthen global Black communities.
Program Highlights:
As an Adinkra Fellow, you will participate in:
• Two Fully Funded Immersive Trips: Experience week-long trips to both an African country and a country within the African Diaspora.
• Mentorships and Skill Development: Benefit from mentorship opportunities, thought-leader exchanges, and targeted skills workshops.
• Cultural Enrichment: Engage in university tours and enriching cultural visits.
• Collaborative Projects: Work on impactful group projects with fellow participants.
• Thriving Alumni Network: Connect with a powerful network of leaders and continue your journey of impact.
• Recognition: Be recognized for your achievements through the “Adinkra Achievement Lists.”
Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be 40 years of age or under.
• Be a citizen of any of Africa’s 54 nations or a member of the global African Diaspora (Afro-Caribbean, African-American, Afro-Latinx, Black Canadian, etc.).
• Demonstrate a proven track record of impact and leadership.
• Be actively working in business, tech & innovation, arts & culture, civil society, or public service.

• All travel and participation expenses are fully covered, in addition to a $1,500 travel stipend.
• A distinguished jury will select 20-40 Fellows for the 2026 cohort.
