About COWACDI
Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) is a woman-led organization born out of a passion for the well-being of women and children in Nigeria. It is a dynamic and impactful NGO committed to providing humanitarian aid and support to vulnerable communities. With a focus on empowering individuals and fostering sustainable development, COWACDI strives to make a lasting impact in the lives of those in need.
COWACDI has a zero-tolerance policy for fraud and related practices. The organization is especially dedicated to mitigating the suffering of vulnerable persons, particularly women and children, during crises. Currently, COWACDI operates in Northeast Nigeria, with a special focus on Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States (the BAY states), in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis spanning over 14 years.
COWACDI implements community-based interventions in areas such as gender-based violence prevention and response, child protection, peacebuilding, youth and women empowerment, housing, land and property rights, non-food items distribution, and livelihood support.
Language Requirements
Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of Hausa and Kanuri is an added advantage.
