We are focused on supporting the Government of Nigeria at the Federal and State level in building a high-performing sustainable health system to ensure that Nigerians, especially those living in rural and underserved areas, have access to affordable, equitable, and quality healthcare services in Nigeria.

This Position is open to all qualified candidates.

Work Hours shall be: 8:00am to 5.00pm daily (Monday to Thursday), 8:00am to 2.00pm daily (Fridays)

Location: Lagos and Nasarawa, Nigeria

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Participant Recruitment & Screening
    – Support community mobilization and outreach to identify eligible women.
    – Assist in pre-screening participants based on inclusion/exclusion criteria.
    – Provide study information to participants in line with approved informed consent procedures.
  2. Informed Consent Process
    – Facilitate the informed consent process under the supervision of the site investigator/research nurse.
    – Ensure participants understand the study, their rights, and confidentiality protections.
    – Document consent appropriately in source records.
  3. Data Collection & Documentation
    – Accurately record participant demographics, clinical data, and study procedures into source documents and Case Report Forms (CRFs).
    – Assist with administering participant questionnaires on acceptability, feasibility, and usability of the Diagnostic Tampon (DDT).
    – Ensure consistency between source documents and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
  4. Sample Handling Support
    – Support the research nurse and laboratory staff in logging, labeling, and tracking biological samples (DDT and cervical swabs).
    – Ensure chain-of-custody documentation and adherence to biosafety protocols.
  5. Participant Follow-up & Retention
    – Maintain regular communication with participants to ensure compliance with study procedures.
    – Track attendance and help minimize loss to follow-up, even though the study is single-visit.
  6. Monitoring and Reporting
    – Document and promptly report any protocol deviations or participant concerns to the site research coordinator.
    – Support AE/SAE reporting by ensuring accurate capture of participant-reported outcomes.
  7. Administrative Support
    – Maintain study files, organize participant records, and ensure confidentiality of documents.
    – Assist with preparation of monitoring visits, audits, and site inspections.
  8. Community Engagement & Education
    – Act as a liaison between the study team and community stakeholders.
    – Support health education and awareness activities to strengthen trust and recruitment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, medical laboratory science, social sciences, or a related health field.
  • A Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or related field (desirable but not mandatory)
  • 2 years of experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital data collection tools.
  • Experience with sample handling documentation and tracking (even if not laboratory-based).
  • Strong organizational skills for study file management, scheduling, and coordination.
