Zai Development Foundation (ZDF)is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization. It is an organization that facilitates, advocates, andraises awareness for access to improved services among vulnerable individuals. It focuses on the areas of WASH, Protection/GBV, Empowerment/ Livelihood, Waste Management, Health/Nutrition, Climate Change and Peace-building. In pursuit of its mission, ZDF collaborates with partners to implement programs that enhance the livelihoods and living standards of vulnerable children, women, and girls, as well as men, widows, internally displaced persons, and individuals living with disabilities.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Type: Fixed Term
Qualification: A minimum Bachelor’s Degree/HND/OND in any relevant Studies
Experience: Minimum of 3-years working experience
Location: Northeast, Damaturu
Duration6 months (September, 2025 – February, 2026) with possible extension
Job Summary
- We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Peace building/Youth empowerment facilitators to lead our field level operations and ensure the effective delivery of our strategic objectives.
- This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a growing organization and shape impactful community-based programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit each activity report session conducted at the end of the training regarding the delivery of the training Programme.
- Providing all necessary tools and materials to enable participants to undertake the training.
- Develop topics to be covered during each training session for dialogue, CSOs capacity building and advocacy to government.
- Prepare and submit a detailed activity report with good picture evidence, impact result out come and lesson learn.

- Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge of local dialect is an added advantage i.e. (Kanuri and Hausa).

- Extent and relevance of experience in working in humanitarian context in the field of peace building.
- Excellent computer skills, communication, writing and presentation skills
- Proven experience as peace building mediator for dialogue session, CSOs capacity building and advocacy to government
- Proven ability to facilitate dialogue and manage group dynamics for resolution.
- Experience in capacity building and training.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Aptitude in creative problem-solving
- Certified peace building Mediator and resolution is a plus
Desirable Skills/Quality:

Education
- University degree in political science, sociology, international relations, international economics, law, public administration, or other related social sciences. Experience
- At least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in multilateral or civil society organization.
- Extensive experience in peace building dialogue session, CSOs capacity building and Advocacytogovernment.
- Experience in national and community-level capacity-building initiatives and programming onpeacebuilding.
