All for Peace and Dignity (APADE) is an international not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, registered under Canadian law in 2014 and Nigerian government in 2021. Our mission is to work with vulnerable people in poverty and distress to improve their well-being and together create a positive change. APADE’s activities focus on emergency, early recovery, resilience, and sustainable development for all people in dire need, regardless of religious, political, or ethnic affiliation, while advocating for peace and dignity for all. Our Project and activities revolve in response to the changing needs of the community we serve to contribute to the change that impacts the lives of vulnerable people. APADE, in partnership with UNDP, is to implement a project aimed at fostering sustainability by distributing a cash grant to market traders. In this context, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth implementation of the project, working closely with stakeholders, beneficiaries, and the project team to achieve the smooth implementation of the project. 

JOB DETAILS

Field Location: Madagali LGA.
Office location: Mubi/Yola, Adamawa State  
Duration: 4 months with the possibility of extension.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Starting Date: September 2025.
Slot: (1) one person 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compliance with and adherence to APADE policies, guidance, and procedures
  • Provide area-specific input on implementation strategy and Plan of Action
  • Organize and conduct project inception in the area of implementation
  • Ensure optimal use of resources in the field within the allocated project budgets
  • Represent APADE and networking on the local area level
  • Assess needs, develop emergency response, and implement response plans
  • Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees/host communities in line with the advocacy strategy
  • Ensure that protection, Gender, and social inclusion are mainstreamed along the project implementation

KEY RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Field Operations: Conduct on-ground activities, including beneficiary identification, verification, and cash distribution in line with project guidelines. 
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with market traders, local authorities, and community leaders to ensure project acceptance and success. 
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor project activities, document progress, and submit detailed reports to the operations manager. 
  • Problem-Solving: Address challenges or issues that arise during implementation and propose practical solutions. 
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to project policies, procedures, and ethical standards. 
  • Manage day-to-day field activities and ensure adherence to organizational standards and guidelines
  • Manage volunteers’ schedules, including setting hours and timesheets
  • Track all activity, including successful completion of designated tasks
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager to coordinate and report on ongoing issues
  • Identify related field issues and create effective solutions
  • Establish a good working environment based on the APADE values
  • Identify, initiate, and follow up on advocacy issues at the area level in close coordination with the operations manager.
  • Ensure quality documentation of all APADE activities at the field level
  • Undertake Official correspondence at the field level.
  • Through close monitoring of the context, develop approaches and activities ensuring promotion of the Do No Harm principle

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Business Administration, Development Studies, or related field)

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years working experience in field operations, project management, or community development 

TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:  

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.   
  • Excellent knowledge of writing skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to build trust and encourage a cordial working environment among the team.
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan, balance, and cope with competing priorities.
  • Ability to establish priorities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent in operating computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.  
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload.
  • Strongly adhere to PSEA Zero tolerance policy, and the organization’s Codes of Conduct.
