The National Population Commission (NPC) has taken a crucial step towards ensuring a seamless payment process for ad-hoc staff engaged in the upcoming Population and Housing Census. On Monday, 18th August 2025, the Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Nasir Ilsa Kwarra, received a delegation from Keystone Bank Limited, led by its Executive Director, North and Public Sector, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Bello, at the NPC Headquarters in Abuja.
The discussions centered on exploring collaborative opportunities, particularly the development of an efficient payment system for census functionaries. According to Hon. Quoting him directly: “Getting the payment system right is essential for the overall success of the census. Delays in payments for functionaries can significantly impact the effectiveness and outcomes of the census.”
