Opportunity: State Focal Point – Maternal Mortality Reduction Initiative (MAMII)

Talent Lab is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as State Focal Points for the Maternal Mortality Reduction Initiative (MAMII), a vital program aimed at improving maternal health outcomes in Nigeria.

Role Overview:

As a State Focal Point, you will play a crucial role in leading and supervising the implementation of maternal health interventions within your designated state. This involves coordinating with government partners, overseeing field activities, and ensuring the effective tracking and referral of pregnant women to essential health services.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Support the rollout and implementation of maternal health interventions in priority Local Government Areas (LGAs).

•  Ensure pregnant women are effectively tracked, referred, and linked to maternal health services and insurance schemes.

•  Supervise and monitor ongoing activities at health facilities, community groups, and outreach sites to ensure quality and efficiency.

•  Collect and monitor data on key maternal health indicators and contribute to comprehensive reports and documentation.

•  Coordinate and strengthen engagement with government partners and community groups.

Requirements:

•  A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Community Development, or a related field.

•  A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maternal health, community health, or health program supervision.

•  Strong organizational, supervisory, coordination, and reporting skills are essential.

•  Fluency in both English and a local language (Hausa or Yoruba).

•  Proven experience in monitoring health interventions, community engagement, and referral systems.

•  Knowledge of local cultural norms and the health system context.

Bauchi, Borno, Kaduna, Kebbi, Ondo, and Yobe States
