FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION,  TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT Industry Mapping Sensitization

FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION,  TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

The Federal Ministry of Education has introduced the Industry Mapping Sensitization Program under the Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative. This programme connects Technical College students to real workplace experiences, helping them gain industry-ready skills.

Small, medium, and large-scale industries are encouraged to participate. The Federal Government will cover training fees for three years, provide monthly stipends to students during their industrial placements, and guide industries on how to effectively train and mentor participants.

The initiative will expose students to practical learning in fields like bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and solar PV, welding, fashion design, livestock farming, and more. From 2026/2027, emerging trades like artificial intelligence, robotics engineering, beauty therapy, creative content production, smart agriculture, and networking & system security will also be introduced.

Industries in the North Central and South West zones can join this effort to equip Nigeria’s future workforce with hands-on skills and reduce unemployment.
