About MSF
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an independent, non-profit humanitarian organization providing medical aid to people in crisis—regardless of race, religion, creed, or political affiliation. MSF has been active in Katsina since 2021, focusing on nutrition programs through its ITFC (Inpatient Therapeutic Feeding Centre) and multiple ATFC (Ambulatory Therapeutic Feeding Centres).
Role Purpose
The Nursing Team Supervisor will plan, coordinate, and oversee nursing activities to ensure high-quality care, effective team management, and smooth operation of nutrition-related services in line with MSF protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff, ensuring adherence to medical and hygiene protocols.
- Supervise patient care in ITFC/ATFC units, including nutritional assessments and treatment.
- Oversee pharmacy and medical supplies management.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Organize staff training, performance evaluations, and schedules.
- Monitor and report on program data, patient progress, and resources.
- Collaborate with other departments for quality service delivery.
Requirements
Education:
- Registered Nurse (essential) with valid license.
- BNSc degree preferred.
- Certificate in nutrition or related field is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years as a Nurse/Nursing Supervisor in a nutrition project.
- NGO experience preferred.
Skills:
- Leadership and team management
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet)
- Fluency in mission and local language (Hausa)
