AFD: Call for Proposals – Addressing Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence
The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals focused on addressing the critical issue of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV). This initiative seeks to support innovative projects that aim to prevent and combat TFGBV in partner countries of France’s development policy.
Geographic Focus:
This call for proposals is open to projects implemented in countries within:
• Africa
• Near East
• Middle East
Thematic Areas:
Projects should address TFGBV through a range of approaches, including but not limited to:
• Digital literacy and empowerment
• Promoting gender equality and women’s rights
• Strengthening governance and legal frameworks
• Enhancing digital security and safety measures
• Improving education and awareness campaigns
• Developing effective communication and advocacy strategies
Funding Available:
A total of 4 million euros is available to support selected projects.
Eligibility:
This call is specifically targeted towards consortia of French and/or international and/or national feminist Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from partner countries of France’s development policy. The proposed consortium should ideally include a mix of international, regional, and national NGOs/CSOs.
Language Requirement:
Proposals must be submitted in French (FRE).
Application Deadline:
The deadline for submitting proposals is August 31st, 2025.
