Job Title: Program Assistant – Climate and Smart Agriculture

Job Summary
- The Program Assistant for Climate and Smart Agriculture will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting agricultural initiatives that are resilient to climate change.
- This position will involve working closely with local communities and partners to promote sustainable farming practices, improve food security, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers in Mubi.
Responsibilities
- Program Implementation: Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all climate-smart agriculture activities.
- Community Engagement: Work directly with local farmers and community groups to provide training and technical support on new agricultural techniques and technologies.
- Data Collection: Conduct field visits to collect data on program progress, challenges, and impact.
- Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports on program activities.
- Coordination: Collaborate with other team members and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of project goals.
- Logistics: Support the logistical aspects of program activities, including arranging workshops and field events.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or a related field.
- Proven working experience in Mubi is required.
- Experience in agricultural extension, community development, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency in local languages (e.g., Hausa, Fulfulde) is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
