Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy to increase our online presence and improve the reach of our activities & social impact online.
Social Media Manager duties and responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
- Design & execute a monthly content calendar across Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Create visually engaging, voice-consistent content (graphics, reels, threads, carousels)
- Monitor analytics, extract insights, and adapt content to improve performance
- Collaborate with program leads to translate campaigns and stories into digital formats
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Engage in formal & informal training/learning to improve your skill and competence.
- Work with related team/personnel to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
- Connect with industry professionals and influencers through social media to establish a robust network.
Who We Are Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who understands both strategy and creativity and thrives in a flexible, remote work environment.
- 3 years or more of experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
- Comfortable using Canva, scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer), Google Analytics, and Meta tools
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks without supervision
- Deeply connected to environmental, climate, and cultural conversations online
- A great communicator who can simplify complex information for digital audiences
- Intermediate picture and video editing skills
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal, presentation, and digital communication skills ● Must know how to edit/create content using:
○ Canva
○ Adobe Express (Spark)
