Heinrich Böll Foundation: Green Foreign Policy Fellowship
The Heinrich Böll Foundation’s (hbs) Thessaloniki Office is pleased to announce the launch of the Green Foreign Policy Fellowship. This program supports scholars, practitioners, and experts from around the world to advance critical discussions and explore pathways in progressive foreign & security policy.
Fellowship Overview:
This fellowship addresses the open-ended question of green foreign policy in a rapidly changing international order. It provides space, access, and experience in the realm of progressive foreign & security policy.
Key Objectives:
• Provide a learning and networking experience for emerging thinkers in green foreign policy.
• Enable a more data-based and cross-regional debate on green foreign policy.
• Serve as a mechanism for identifying issues requiring further debate and advocacy.
• Produce new material and codify data for alternative foreign & security policy approaches.
Fellowship Duration: July 2025 – May 2026
Application Period: May 05-31, 2025, 18:00 Eastern European Time (GMT +3)
Benefits:
The fellowship covers travel and accommodation costs to attend relevant events and provides a stipend during the first semester. It also supports the presentation of participants’ work and networking activities during the second semester.
Expectations:
• Develop an analytical strategy outlining goals and plans.
• Produce material (articles, papers, etc.) primarily during the first semester.
• Emphasize presentation, exchange, and networking during the second semester.
• Submit short progress reports monthly.
