MSI Nigeria: State Clinical Training Officer (Jigawa/Sokoto)

MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices seeks a highly motivated State Clinical Training Officer to be based in Jigawa or Sokoto. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality reproductive healthcare service delivery through impactful training, supportive supervision, and effective quality assurance measures at assigned facilities. The SCTO will also play a key role in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and supply chain management.

Job Title: Focal Person, MSI Nigeria (State Level)

Summary:

MSI Nigeria is seeking a dedicated and experienced Focal Person to represent the organization at the state level. This role is crucial for maintaining MSI Nigeria’s visibility, fostering strong relationships with government and partner organizations, ensuring data accuracy and compliance, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  Representation & Relationship Management:

    Act as the primary MSI Nigeria representative at state-level meetings and platforms.

    Maintain and develop strong relationships with the State Ministry of Health (SMoH), partners, and other public institutions to strengthen MSI’s impact and identify future funding opportunities.

    Ensure MSI Nigeria’s brand visibility and credibility within the state.

  Data Reporting & Management:

    Ensure timely (by the 3rd of each month) and accurate data collection and reporting into ORION from assigned facilities.

    Validate data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before ORION entry.

    Comply with data validation rules and timelines in ORION.

    Maintain chronological data archives for audit purposes.

    Conduct provider review meetings as needed to gather data and ensure proper documentation.

    Train assigned facilities/providers on data reporting tools and ensure compliance.

    Review all MIS data for accuracy prior to entry.

    Ensure data reporting tools are available and in use at all assigned facilities.

    Develop integrated monthly reports capturing team performance and clinical quality.

    Collate Client Record Audits and client feedback forms monthly for RMEA analysis and records (where applicable).

    Conduct monthly facility-level performance management, including report rate analysis.

  Demand Creation:

    Work with providers and the FP coordinator to identify viable demand creation options aligned with MSI Nigeria’s strategy.

  Leadership & Teamwork:

    Demonstrate a strong commitment to MSI’s mission and goals.

    Maintain strong communication with state team members and other MSI Nigeria departments.

    Encourage a positive culture, work environment, and attitude among team members.

  Quality Improvement:

   * Must achieve model sites.

    Ensure strong links between communication and community mobilization activities at the systems level.

Requirements:

  B.Sc Degree.

  4-6 years of relevant experience.
