Call for Applications: Gender-Sensitive Reporting Workshop on Nutrition, Food Security, and Primary Healthcare

The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), in partnership with Premium Times, is pleased to announce a call for applications for a capacity-building workshop designed to enhance the skills of journalists in gender-sensitive reporting. The workshop will focus on the thematic areas of nutrition, food security, and primary healthcare.

Objective:
The objective of this workshop is to equip journalists with the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to produce high-quality, gender-sensitive reports on nutrition, food security, and primary healthcare. The workshop aims to promote accurate and balanced reporting, highlighting the intersections between gender, nutrition, food security, and primary healthcare.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Be a practising journalist with a recognized media organization in Nigeria
– Demonstrate a keen interest in covering issues related to nutrition, food security, and primary healthcare
– Provide evidence of prior reporting experience in one or more of the focus areas
– Submit three (3) published stories showcasing journalism expertise
– Commit to physically attending all sessions of the workshop
– Submit a pitch on one or two of the thematic areas, which will be fine-tuned during the training
