Evidence Action is recruiting for multiple positions in Nigeria, including opportunities in policy engagement, government relations, programme data analytics, research, and evidence-based decision-making.

  1. POLICY AND GOVERNMENT ENGAGEMENT SUPPORT PERSONNEL

LOCATION: Nigeria

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

JOB PURPOSE

The Policy and Government Engagement Support Personnel will support Evidence Action’s efforts to strengthen government relationships and advance evidence-based policy change in Nigeria.

The role involves policy research, stakeholder engagement, government meetings, documentation, communication, and development of materials that translate evidence into actionable insights for policymakers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct research on government policies, programmes and legislative developments.

Review policy documents, government reports and other relevant materials.

Prepare policy briefs, background notes, presentations and briefing materials.

Monitor policy trends and changes in government leadership and maintain stakeholder databases.

Coordinate meetings with government officials, ministries and agencies.

Prepare talking points, meeting summaries and follow-up correspondence.

Support stakeholder mapping and maintain professional relationships with government contacts.

Track policy engagement activities, meetings and communications.

Support data collection and reporting on government engagement outcomes.

Maintain calendars of relevant policy events, government deadlines and advocacy opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, International Development, Public Health, Development Studies, Communications or a related field.

At least 2 years’ experience in stakeholder engagement, government relations, public relations, administrative support in policy/advocacy, or a similar people-facing role.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Experience preparing professional presentations and briefing materials.

Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.

Strong research, documentation and stakeholder-tracking skills.

Discretion when handling confidential information.

Hausa language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.

Nigerian citizenship or valid work authorization is required.

  1. SENIOR ASSOCIATE, PROGRAM DATA ANALYTICS – WCA

LOCATION: Abuja, Nigeria

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Associate, Program Data Analytics will analyze cleaned programme data to generate insights, visualizations and reports that support programme decision-making across West and Central Africa.

The position is part of Evidence Action’s Data Analytics and Learning team within the Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead statistical analysis and development of reports, visualizations and publications.

Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analysis using Stata, R or Python.

Translate programme needs into analytical requests and tools.

Identify and communicate analytical priorities to the MLE team.

Flag data anomalies and emerging trends.

Develop reports, presentations, infographics and other data-driven communication materials.

Support dashboards and ensure information is accurate and up to date.

Extract lessons from research and analysis to support evidence-based programme decisions.

Design and facilitate mentorship and training sessions for MLE field teams.

Represent the Program Data Analytics team in relevant internal and external engagements.

Supervise and support the professional development of at least one Associate, Program Data Analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics or another data-oriented discipline.

Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

Minimum 3 years’ experience conducting quantitative data analysis and producing high-quality reports.

Strong knowledge of Stata, R or Python.

Experience with descriptive and inferential statistics.

Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insights.

Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualization tools.

Experience creating infographics using Canva, Piktochart, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar tools.

Knowledge of mapping tools such as R/Shiny, ArcGIS or QGIS.

Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and creativity.

Fluency in English is required; French is an advantage.

Experience using AI tools to improve analytical workflows and automate routine processes is required.

SALARY: ₦751,000 – ₦1,000,000 YEARLY
