InsightsOut Africa is inviting creative hubs across Nigeria to participate in a research study examining the economic impact of creative hubs and identifying actionable ways to support their growth and sustainability.
ABOUT THE RESEARCH
The study explores how creative hubs navigate mixed-value ecosystems across different regional markets to achieve both social impact and financial sustainability.
The research will help strengthen the evidence base on the role creative hubs play in Nigeria’s creative economy and the wider African creative ecosystem.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The research is open to:
- Creative hub owners
- Hub directors
- Hub managers
- Leaders of creative collectives and networks
- Operators of creative spaces and organisations in Nigeria
Priority locations include Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Enugu, and Port Harcourt, while creative hubs from other parts of Nigeria are also encouraged to participate.
WHAT QUALIFIES AS A CREATIVE HUB?
A creative hub can be a physical, virtual, or hybrid space that brings creative people together and supports practitioners, entrepreneurs, startups, and creative enterprises through:
- Community building
- Infrastructure and workspace
- Capacity development
- Incubation and acceleration
- Production support
- Funding support
- Market access
- Networking and collaboration
This may include collectives, cooperatives, laboratories, incubators, creative spaces, and other creative networks.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
Creative hubs are invited to share their experiences, challenges, opportunities, and impact. Their insights will contribute to a stronger understanding of how creative hubs operate across Nigeria and what support can help them grow sustainably.
