About the Project:
The project aims to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to basic protection mainstreaming, including health, nutrition, sexual and reproductive health/gender-based violence (SH/GBV), and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in targeted areas of Katsina State.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enumerator to join our team in Katsina State. The Enumerator will be responsible for collecting high-quality data through interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) using an electronic data collection tool.
Responsibilities:
– Collect high-quality data through interviews and FGDs using an electronic data collection tool
– Transcribe and code qualitative research data
– Identify and report any issues encountered while obtaining valid data
– Interpret interview questions to assist respondents in understanding and providing clear answers
– Double-check information on survey forms or data pads to ensure accuracy
– Engage in data entry when paper-based options are utilized
– Adhere to quality standards and research ethics during and after fieldwork
– Participate in debrief sessions to share field experiences regarding the community and the data collection process
– Maintain respect for community members and leadership at all times
Requirements:
– Minimum of an NCE/Diploma
– Basic ICT skills
– Experience in data collection, preferably with mobile data collection tools
– Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to communicate in local languages (preferably Hausa Fulani)
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Previous experience in selected communities is an advantage
– Flexibility to work and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
– High regard for cultural norms and traditions
– Patience and good leadership skills
– Willingness to learn and a spirit of volunteerism
